pop larkin
They were used quite alot around my local area as fixed anti-aircraft positions. My uncle has a map of South Devon with some of the military installations marked on it. There were a couple placed up the River Dart and where my Chevy is stored was also a base for a Halftrack antiaircraft position. I believe they were maned by US troops (the 1 where my truck is certainly was as a local man who was a boy at the time remebers when the soliders would go for lunch sneaking up there and stealing their chocolate bars :-D ). There was also a small POW camp opposite, but I haven't found out any more about that.
